New readers start here.

Here is the "blurb" of The Edge of Doom, my first published book, although I've been writing playlets, for youth groups, poetry, short stories, etc since I was about 6!

It doesn't mention the Arthurian theme, but it is integral to the book, and, in fact to the whole trilogy, the second of which is with the publishers, and the third, about one sixth written!

Elli Tollet and Lance Poole are the outsiders in the IT class at their local Further Education college: she, living on an isolated farm, is uneasy with girls of her own age, and he, a mature student, ex-army, feels out of tune with the attitudes and interests of the other students. Then they are commandeered by the enigmatic Lyn Sayer, the pilot of a military helicopter, and embark on a dizzying time-travelling journey, meeting a cavalcade of characters, including Olwen, a green dragon.

Set in a variety of times, but focussed in the Cheshire countryside, “The Edge of Doom” is rooted in ancient stories, and leads eventually to the sandstone hill of Alderley Edge, a place of mystery, where legend and history meet.

The shifting relationship between Elli and Lance is balanced by the exciting and significant events in which they are fated to play their part.
